Transenergy Inc. Partners with SAGE CDL Truck Driving School
Transenergy Inc.'s CDL Permit Program for Incarcerated Individuals
In December of 2024, Transenergy Inc., was approved to offer a CDL program at South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) Re-entry facilities. Through this initiative, Transenergy provides Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit courses to incarcerated individuals in reentry programs.
These courses help participants gain the skills and credentials needed for commercial driving jobs after their release. The program combines hands-on training with certification, focusing on improving employment prospects, supporting successful reintegration, and reducing recidivism by providing a stable career path.
In addition, Transenergy has partnered with SAGE CDL Trucking School to deliver phase two of the program, further enhancing participants' training and career readiness.
